Reporting to the Manager of Planning & Improvement and Choosing Wisely Canada/Nova Scotia, the Project Coordinator, Choosing Wisely functions as an internal advisor to lead, organize and coordinate project work within the Choosing Wisely program. The project coordinator for Choosing Wisely IWK (0.2 FTE) will assist in building a new steering committee and develop priorities and direction for the health center with respect to resource stewardship. The project coordinator for Choosing Wisely Nova Scotia is responsible for coordination of activities for the provincial hub and advancing the mandate of Choosing Wisely Canada in Nova Scotia. Choosing Wisely Canada is the national voice for reducing unnecessary tests and treatments in Canada. Unnecessary tests and treatments expose patients to potential harm, consume precious health care resources, and contribute to the climate crisis. Choosing Wisely Canada works with national clinician societies to identify and develop recommendations on frequently overused tests and treatments that do not add value to patient care. It mobilizes health care providers and their organizations to adopt the recommendations and make them part of routine practice.Hours of Work15 hours bi-weeklyYour Qualifications
