We are an established, dynamic, and growing underground utilities and surface works company in search of an individual to fulfill the role of an Intermediate Project Coordinator in our growing Project Management Division.
The Intermediate Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering various projects safely, on schedule, and on budget. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Intermediate Project Coordinator is responsible for multiple aspects of the project cycle, including set-ups, quantity verification, organizing, and controlling project activities.
The duties of the job include, but are not limited to:
Attend client meetings and assist with the determination of project requirements
Prepare project preparation & closeout documents. Communication project directive to the operations team
Attend site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members
Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
Prepare project scheduling that is outlined in the budget and meets the client's needs
Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
Ensure clients' needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
Review field inspection reports from consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
Assist the Project Manager in the review of contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval
Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders
Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close-out documents are obtained
Communicate ideas for improving company processes
Keep the Project Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
Qualifications
A Degree or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering of Project/Construction Management, or relevant Trade & Field Experience, would be an asset
1-3 years of experience supporting Project Managers
Proficient in Microsoft suite, Bluebeam, Explorer/Eclipse & B2W software would be an asset
Knowledge of the City of Calgary specifications and Civil contracting would be an asset
Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
