Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator also communicates with external parties such as landlords, base building architects, contractors, and trades to obtain expectations, approvals, revisions, or new designs. The position supports all areas of architectural services, including producing construction documentation following statutes and by-laws and verifying the accuracy of working drawings to permit applications and reviews. The Project Coordinator is exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, is a multi-tasker responsible for coordinating and executing project activities and maintains consistently high standards of workmanship and efficiency under the Project Manager\'s mentorship.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the architectural team to coordinate and produce detailed architectural technical documents based on schematics and mark-ups including but not limited to 3D architectural renderings, contract documents and other technical documents or schedules and reports.
  • Assist the Project Manager: develop and maintain project schedule, targets, manage and coordinate other team members and project-related deadlines and schedules, tracking project progress using project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
  • Attend sites to complete architectural surveys to confirm existing conditions and dimensions.
  • Research various building codes and by-laws as they apply to each project.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Code, legal, statutory and professional requirements.
  • Produce, analyze and advise on detailed design specifications for individual projects and assist the Project Manager or Senior Management with day-to-day project activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma/Degree from an accredited College/ University in Architectural Technology/ Architecture.
  • Member of an accredited Professional Association.
  • LEED accreditation is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in an architectural firm, and Revit design experience
  • Proven experience managing projects from design to completion.
  • Experience with Canadian Contract Documents, Contracts, Specifications and Contract Administration.
