We specialize in residential renovations and are seeking a skilled Project Estimator and Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg, MB. We are looking for a full-time Project Estimator and Coordinator in Construction to manage project estimates and coordinate various aspects of the construction process. You will collaborate with sales and project planning teams to develop accurate project estimates and budgets, manage supplier quotes and procurement bids, and ensure all staff have relevant documentation. Professionalism, experience, punctuality, and attention to detail are paramount to the success of an eligible candidate. The workday is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Typical Projects & Work Requirements:

Estimate and develop project costs, working with sales and project planning teams to revise and finalize budgets. Coordinate during construction with the project manager on budgets and logistics. Estimate material and labor costs, obtain and assess supplier quotes and procurement bids, managing purchase orders throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain and organize project documentation, manage RFIs, and maintain organized project files. Assist the Project Manager with managing day-to-day activities. Estimate costs for change orders, generate documentation for client approval, and revise project budgets as necessary. Process and track the status of applications, and schedule inspections. Manage deliveries, warehouse inventory, and ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables. Stay updated on industry standards, estimation techniques, and product knowledge through regular professional development.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:

C.A.T (Civil Architectural Technologist) ,C.E.T (Civil Engineering Technologist) required, or equivalent experience. Interior design education or experience will also be considered. Proven experience in project estimation and coordination within the construction industry. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in estimation and project management software. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Relevant certifications or degrees in construction management or related fields are preferred.

Software Knowledge:

Familiarity or proficiency with take-off software. Familiarity or proficiency with project management software.
