About the Role
We are looking for a
proactive and driven Project Coordinator
to support our Project Management team in delivering high-quality solutions to our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) clients. This role will work closely with the Project/Account Manager to ensure projects are executed smoothly, deadlines are met, and client expectations are exceeded.
The ideal candidate is hungry to learn, eager to take initiative, and comfortable stepping up to keep projects moving forward. You'll
assist with scheduling, communication, documentation, and technical coordination while building skills in project management and client services.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support
Scheduling & Coordination: Take initiative in supporting project planning and scheduling, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and tasks are clearly documented and communicated.
Documentation:
Maintain
accurate project records, including client requirements, project updates, and status reports. Task Tracking: Proactively monitor progress of assigned tasks and follow up with internal teams to ensure deliverables stay on track.
Issue Escalation: Spot potential risks or delays early and flag them to the Project Manager for resolution.
Client & Team Support
Communication:
Assist with preparing client updates, meeting notes, and follow-up communications. Client Support: Be a responsive and dependable point of contact for day-to-day client needs under the guidance of the Project Manager.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with sales, drafting/operations, and product support teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Technical Support
Product Familiarity: Build a working knowledge of Planitar's product offerings to better understand client use cases.
AEC Exposure: Learn to interpret CAD drawings and spatial planning documents to support project delivery.
Quality Checks:
Assist with preliminary quality reviews of deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
1-2 years of experience in project coordination, client services, or a related field (co-op or internship experience considered).
A self-starter with a proactive, "get it done" attitude who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Hungry to learn and grow within the AEC and managed services space.
Exposure to architecture, engineering, construction, or related industries preferred.
Familiarity with reading CAD drawings and/or spatial planning is an asset.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Proficiency with project management and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Asana, Jira, or similar).
Interest in developing technical knowledge of building design, floor plans, and project workflows.
