Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Project Manager, this position is responsible for document control, document and report production, liaising with vendors and contractors, supporting project managers as well as providing administrative support to the department. Ensures adherence to the Company\'s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian\'s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinates and attends project meetings and takes meeting minutes
  • Assists the PM in drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP\'s, tender bid docume nts, budgets and preliminary schedules
  • Tracks the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines and trades
  • Maintains control of Project Documentation; files and drawings
  • Maintains procedure manuals and project standards manual
  • Assists the PM in review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval
  • Contract Administration: develops and issues contracts, letters of intent, POs
  • Coordinates / facilitates contract close-out documents and O&M manuals
  • Assists in the preparation of reports for Project Stakeholders
  • Liaises with the Project Accountant, Construction to verify invoices
  • Execute budget transfers as directed by the PM
  • Assist in updating AutoCAD documents
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate business units
  • Develop s and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma; Post-Secondary education in administration or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative support; architectural, construction or design experience preferred
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Attention to detail and able to problem solve
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and AutoCAD required
  • Familiarity with MS Project, JDE and design software such as SketchUp is an asset
  • Quick learner, capable of keeping up with evolving computer software and processes
  • Strong proficiency in English with good verbal and written skills is a must
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
