As a Project Controls Manager at CIMS LP, you will be a key contributor towards CIMS success by being responsible for the full cycle of project controls on assigned projects, while embodying CIMS corporate values of Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion.
You will report to the Project Services Manager and be accountable for:
Tracking and forecasting project costs; project planning as well as developing, preparing, collecting, and analyzing schedule and cost data to support the Project Manager and decision making.
Adhering to CIMS project controls procedures and customer's contractual, finance and reporting requirements.
Ensuring that appropriate, accurate and timely information is provided to ensure effective and timely decision making.
Organizing information from the project teams to support all project financial reporting requirements.
Accurately reporting the project health internally and to the customer.
A successful candidate
would be an individual who has:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls in the construction industry.
A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Engineering or Business.
A strong cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills in multi-project and multi-entity environment.
Intermediate level experience with Primavera 6 software (Required).
Experience working with project management, and other departments, as well as on development and analysis of project data and reports.
Client facing communication skills and an aspiration to be a project manager.
Working conditions you can expect while performing your role include:
Working onsite in a heavy industrial/ construction setting.
Working to deadlines, high stress situations (i.e., collections, investigations, and meeting deadlines).
Working outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet the needs of the business.
