Job Description


We are searching for a local, driven, and responsible person to fill a full time Project Controls & Job Costing Administrator position in Grande Prairie, Alberta. You will be a key member of the team and support the day-to-day functions of the business.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Coordinators & Managers to meet the Health, Safety and Environmental goals of the business
  • Assist with processing of administrative activities of the business - compiling and verifying information, preparing correspondence and data entry into Sage and spreadsheets
  • Assist field staff by troubleshooting problems/issues of an administrative nature such as field data, computers, sign in sheets, and timesheets
  • Assist with preparing and submitting estimates/proposals to the clients
  • Gathering and analyzing project data to keep project cost and schedule on track
  • Preparing billing items for Accounts Receivable for each project
  • Preparing and processing cheques, controlling material Receiving Reports for Accounts Payable
  • Coordinating shipping to and/or from site and preparing shipping forms
  • Overseeing project progress tracking and document control
  • Overlooking and assisting with project specific materials\' quotes, PO\'s, and orders
  • Develop positive relationships with personnel, client representatives and other relevant parties to enhance and protect the Company\'s reputation and improve and grow the business
  • Working under pressure and strict deadlines
  • Other activities as determined by management
COMPETENCIES:

  • Minimum 5 years related administrative experience &/or graduate of post-secondary education in administrative studies or related field
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with industry related software and programs an asset
  • Oilfield terminology or related experience
  • Previous Project Control experience is an asset
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Business Admin Diploma or Certificate (or equivalent experience) or combination of the following:
  • Accounting or bookkeeping diploma or certificate (or equivalent experience)
  • Certificate in MS Office Suite (or equivalent experience)
  • ERP training (or equivalent experience with Discovery, MS Navigator, Great Plains, SAP, JD Edwards or similar)
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
