We are currently looking for a Project Controller/Scheduler to join the growing team in our Calgary and Edmonton, AB offices.

About InnoTech Engineering



InnoTech is an engineering company focused on Operational Technology (OT) spanning instrumentation, electrical and automation infrastructure. Our team consists of highly skilled engineers, technologists, and technicians with vast experience, capable of handling both small and large OT projects while also providing support for day-to-day facility operations. InnoTech's primary services are Controls (PLC, DCS, SCADA), Electrical (low and medium voltage), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) engineering, and OT Lifecycle Planning and Cybersecurity.

Position Summary



If you're chosen for this role, you'll join our team of highly skilled Project Managers and Project Controllers to ensure our projects run smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee and organize activities related to schedule, progress, budget, and reporting requirements. Project Controller Role and Responsibilities:



Reporting to the Project Management office Lead, the team member's primary responsibility will be focusing on overseeing and organizing project activities related to schedules, budgets, variances, billing, and forecasting. Monitor performance, recommend KPIs, and analyze trends to identify risks, gaps, or improvements. Develop and maintain project budgets, cash flow, accruals, and reporting. Support scope control, change management, risk management, and quality assurance processes. Prepare and process change notices, financial reports, progress reports, and project closeout documentation. Track and reconcile costs, purchase orders, and subcontract commitments to ensure financial accuracy. Collaborate with Project Managers and teams to ensure effective cost and schedule controls. Support audits, reviews, and continuous improvement of project controls and reporting systems. Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to assist project delivery and decision-making. Comply with all HS&E requirements in the performance of this position's responsibilities.

Project Scheduler Role and Responsibilities:



Develop, baseline and forecast project schedules.

Update project schedules on a frequent cycle and prepare diverse schedule reports to the Project Manager and Clients

Learn and apply performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts.
Analyze cost and schedule data for reporting and performance trends.

Monitor adherence of project timelines against the agreed schedule plan.

Qualifications and Skills:



Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Business or Technology Diploma/Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution with a focus on electrical or instrumentation engineering or demonstrated equivalent and related experience. Holding PMI certificate (PMP or CAPM) is not mandatory but would be an asset. 5+ years of Project Controlling and Scheduling experience in engineering, procurement and construction projects or operating industrial facilities. Experience in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera. Experience in Microsoft Business Intelligence Dashboard development (Power Bi) would be an asset. Strong ability in management and multidisciplinary team support. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. Presentation skills. In addition to the technical components of the role, you should demonstrate the values and disciplines of our organization: a questioning attitude, a desire to improve, accountability, and collaboration, including strong communication skills and the ability to build functional relationships with all stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is essential. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and Teams). Class 5 driver's license. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
