Reporting to the Managing Director, the Project Controller plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive project controls across multiple concurrent industrial construction projects of varying size and complexity. Core responsibilities include planning and scheduling, estimating, cost management, trend and change management, progress measurement and evaluation, reporting, and project accounting. This role also provides both technical and managerial support to the field construction operations team, specifically in the implementation and use of progress monitoring tools.
Responsibilities:
Oversee project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and variance analysis
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing on all projects
Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, aligning construction timelines, resources, and vendor deliverables
Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Analyze data from field operations, procurement, and engineering to assess overall project health
Manage scope changes, change orders, and their financial implications
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal governance, and project accounting standards
Collaborate with finance and supply chain teams to streamline reporting and procurement tracking
Provide technical support to field teams on progress monitoring tools and methodologies
Deliver clear, timely reports to internal and external stakeholders
Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in project controls within the industrial construction industry
Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools
Advanced Excel skills
Strong understanding of CAPEX/OPEX tracking, contract management, and risk frameworks
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams
