Project Controller

What You Will Do:
Support administration of the site Surface Project Control Program in collaboration with the Capital Portfolio Manager
Manage forecasting requirements across the portfolio, working closely with Project Managers
Meet or exceed monthly and annual forecasting accuracy targets
Assist Project Managers with development and execution of capital projects using Planisware software
Monitor and control project costs
Develop reports detailing portfolio progress
Lead and facilitate meetings and presentations at all levels of management
Support change order and contingency management
Actively manage annual portfolio cashflow for both annual and multi-year budgets
Troubleshoot financial topics within various systems and software
Continuously improve portfolio management processes and systems
Manage project accruals, cost reconciliation, and closeout activities
Escalate concerns, issues, and risks to appropriate management
Engage with project stakeholders and report progress to management
Hours of Work:
7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 9-80 schedule
+ Week 1: Monday to Friday, 9-hour days (45 hours)
+ Week 2: Monday to Wednesday, 9-hour days; Thursday, 8 hours (35 hours).
Requirements
Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field
Minimum 3+ years of related experience; potash industry experience is an asset
Maintenance, project, or operational experience at an operating facility or heavy industrial site is considered an asset
Proficiency in software including Microsoft Excel, Planisware, Enterprise Asset Management Systems (Oracle), and Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Exceptional organizational skills and flexibility in managing changing priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex software and financial issues
Self-starter with excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills
