The Project Control Administrator is responsible for providing ongoing administrative support to the Project Manager and Engineering teams. The Project Control Technician Administrator?s main responsibilities are (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting with data entry,
  • Project reporting,
  • Billing/invoicing,
  • Time sheet entry
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Sets up project and sales contracts as per bidding requirements.
  • Creates and updates contractor purchase orders.
  • Assists the Project Manager with document control, updating and records monitoring.
  • Maintains sales price lists.
  • Monitors Work in Progress (WIP) orders that are waiting approvals: Bi-weekly reporting to WIP Managers, refers problem accounts to Project Manager or Engineer as applicable.
  • Acquires necessary customer approvals for work tickets (email and/or OpenInvoice, Ariba).
  • Accommodates customer requests and deadlines.
  • Communicates daily with technicians to resolve any ticket/material issues.
  • Enters all customer related coding (AFE, PO, CC, WO #, etc.).
  • Works with Estimating and Purchasing to close out completed projects.
  • Works with the Project Manager and other estimators for project cost management.
Skills that pay the bills:
  • Previous work experience as a Service Admin/Project Administrator an asset.
  • Familiar with Oil and Gas service industry would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working with accounting and/or resource planning software considered an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with other designers, drafters, technicians, clients and engineers.
  • Work under pressure while displaying a polite and tactful manner to fellow employees and clients.
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Any current safety certificates/training would be an asset (First Aid, H2S, CSO)
  • Valid Drivers License and Drivers Abstract.
