Our Banking client in Toronto, Ontario is looking to hire a Project Control Officer - IT - Advanced for a 6-months contract role with possibility for extension.

What you will be doing\xe2\x80\xa6

• Responsible for the development, maintenance, and variance analysis/reporting for a specific project within BFS. May consist of supporting multiple project plans, which have been integrated to develop the implementation roadmap for the entire program.
• Preparing program and governance status reports
• Support and maintain controls and integrated schedules / milestones in portfolio reporting.
• Capture meting notes and discussion topics.
• Setup and maintain artefact and document repositories.
• Oversee and manage all the Project Manager\'s project plans and their deliverables.
• Support the Program Manager to ensure operational effectiveness of program execution.
• Oversee the development, implementation and execution of project schedules, financials, status reporting, variance analysis and reporting, resource planning, change control, performance measures, and risk assessments ensuring any risks to the completion of the project schedules are effectively identified, mitigated and/or escalated.
• Participates in PMO planning and development sessions (strategic, tactical plans, budgeting)
• Complete weekly schedule variance reports & PCO project status report package and scorecard
• Support project manager(s) with monitoring action items, risks, issues, changes, and decision logs
• Assist project managers in the development, management, and ongoing maintenance of project schedules and with identifying inter-project and task dependencies and constraints.
• Conduct weekly risk assessment of the project schedule highlighting high risks to key deliverables and resource conflicts.

What you will need to succeed\xe2\x80\xa6

Must Have Skills:

• Bachelor\'s degree
• Project Management Certification
• 2-4 years\' experience as a Project Control Officer on small to mid-sized programs
• 2-4 years\' experience as a Project Manager managing projects and project schedule.
• Knowledge of project methodology
• Knowledge of system development processes

Nice to have skills:

• Experience within Financial Industry.
• Specifically, business / commercial banking.
