Job Summary

The Analyst is responsible for research, analysis and written correspondence in support of ongoing resource / investments planning and reporting requirements.


Major Responsibilities:




Conduct research by analyzing and compiling information and by preparing reports for the section. Monitor the ongoing reporting requirements pertaining to resource/investments planning function. Analyze, identify and compile information to respond to internal and external resource/investments planning and reporting enquiries. Conduct research, gather data for the preparation of briefing notes/messages/reports/letters and other correspondences on a host of issues. Develop, monitor and maintain integrated information data bases, desk procedures and project schedules. Prepare presentations for internal and external clients by using appropriate software. Edit and review reports by proofreading. Liaise with other Branches and other Government Departments/Agencies to obtain information. Participate and assist in the preparation of CSIS Treasury Board Submissions and/or in the Investment Review Committee meetings and related processes.

Education

Undergraduate degree and one (1) year of experience, or
College diploma (2-year program) and three (3) years of experience, or
High school diploma and five (5) years of experience


The Undergraduate degree/College Diploma must be obtained from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada. If you completed a program outside of Canada you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.

Experience is defined as:

Experience in research and analysis where you compile, review and make recommendations or decisions. Experience in consulting and collaborating with internal or external stakeholders. Experience in planning and preparing communication materials, such as presentations or articles. Experience drafting and editing a wide variety of documents such as written correspondence, briefing notes, emails, plans or reports.
