The role of the Project Analyst reports into the Access Network and Operations Project Management Office (ANEO PMO). In this role, the PMO team works closely with key functional areas of the business (Access Network, IT, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Care, R4B, Network Development, etc.) to oversee the impacts, interdependencies and timelines between functional teams and working to ensure project initiatives meet the goals and objectives set forth by the senior and executive leadership teams. This group is responsible for delivering the overall Access Network capital plans on time and within budget.
The position is both technical and junior managerial and requires a balance of project management, technical skills, highly developed analytical skills along with being a strong team player and building relationships within matrix organization. The project analyst will lead individual work streams in all phases of the project life cycle as assigned by your manager. Executive Reporting, project database maintenance, schedule development and risk and issue identification will all be part of your duties.
You will participate in ongoing projects specific but not limited to projects within the CRMS (Capacity, Reliability, Mandatory and Service Improvement) portfolio to define, document, and develop control requirements while using centralized databases and project management tools. This is a dynamic and demanding role requiring tremendous commitment and energy and is appropriate for a high potential individual who has upward mobility aspirations.
Basic responsibilities
:

  • Assist in leading multiple cross-functional teams charged with implementing project objectives in addition to meeting project deadlines.
  • Assist in defining project goals and objectives and develop the project management plan
  • Assist in the responsibility for the management of monthly OPEX and CAPEX spend versus planned cost including all accrued costs
  • Establish project plan baselines including scope, schedule, sequencing and dependency analysis
  • Develop resource plans
  • Drive project execution, governance, monitor and track all project milestones and activities required by the business including the closure of all individual projects
  • Champion the risk planning process and ensure weekly and monthly predictability KPIs by internal and external teams / organizations
  • Baseline and monthly forecasting of materials per project and adhere to inventory and working capital KPIs
  • Adhere to the change management process in terms of scope, budget and time plan
  • Ensure the quality of all deliverables with regards to all KPIs relevant to internal and external teams / organizations
  • Produce and distribute meeting agendas, presentations, thorough meeting notes and follow up on action items to resolution.
  • Identify business / functional gaps, defining / re-engineering processes, technical solutions and developing recommendations to senior management prior to implementing plans in coordination with the business owners.
  • Assist in Actively managing and driving subcontractors and supporting the Procurement organization with regards to the subcontractor balance scorecard
  • Evaluate opportunities for synergies and innovation using thorough data analysis and understanding of key cost / revenue drivers, technology, assumptions, and scenarios.
  • Drive the overall integrated project plan and provide regular and routine updates to leadership, including progress, risks and resolutions (this includes presenting to the senior leadership team from time to time as required).
  • Regular meetings with Project Owner and cross-functional teams to review projects and learn from findings. “See it, Own it, Solve it” mentality and the ability to incrementally improve inefficient processes and ways of working.
  • Compile data from various sources, analyze the data and create an in-depth report on the findings from that data
  • Create reports by using centralized databases and tools for Projects and Programs
  • Define data requirements and provide support to identify the best and most accurate data sources

Must Have Skills
:
  • Project Management and/or Engineering qualification
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Quick learner who will take the initiative to understand the access network
  • Ability to manage and track multiple projects through the life cycle steps of initiation, planning, execution and project closure.
  • Contribute to improvements in life cycle, based on lessons learned.
  • Executive presence and good communications

Nice to Have
:
  • Project Management Certification from a recognized institution
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and JIRA
