Job Description


Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Project Administrator / Document Controller to work a long-term contract for a well-established mining and metals company in Kitimat, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong initiative to engage with complex problem-solving within an industrial setting. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in enhancing systems related to material transportation, including but not limited to conveyor systems, air slides, dust collectors, storage silos and rail works.

Pay rate: $58/hour (Must be incorporated)

Location: Kitimat, BC

Shifts: Monday - Friday; 8 hours/day

Job type: Full-time; Long-Term Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Project Team in developing and maintaining project documentation including drawings, transmittals, design error notices, design change notices, vendor submittals, comments, reviews, copies and approvals, and other project documentation.

Troubleshoot documentation problems and bring any issues to the attention of the relevant personnel for clarification, correction, and resolution.

Ensure that all documents relating to the project are correctly collated, and maintained and can easily be accessed by employees and management when needed.

Perform any other duty related to the delivery of the project that may be assigned by the Project Manager or his designate.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Residency in Kitimat or willingness to relocate is essential.

2-3 years of substantial experience in document control within an engineering project or data management setting, utilizing electronic document management systems.

Previous exposure to document management systems and familiarity with engineering processes.

Proficiency at an advanced level in MS Outlook, MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio), and Adobe Acrobat, coupled with a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp other software tools.

Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is considered an asset.

Proven communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships with both on-site and remote team members.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks, organize, and prioritize effectively.

Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada is a mandatory requirement.
