ABOUT THE CLIENT
Impact Recruitment has partnered with a boutique full service real estate development, construction and property management firm in downtown Vancouver that has over $2 billion in projects and are known for making a difference in the communities they serve. Currently, they are looking to add a project accountant to their team.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the project accounting manager, the project accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Prepare monthly loan draws and work with quantity surveyor for the projects.
- Prepare internal and external reporting packages, i.e., job costs and partner reports.
- Full cycle AP/AR and bank reconciliation for the assigned development and construction projects.
- Maintain project proforma and ensure actual costs is updated.
- Work with vendors for outstanding invoices, process contracts and purchase orders.
- Review annual tax filings for project entities and prepare GST/PST tax returns.
- Ad hoc duties as assigned.
- 1+ year of project accounting experience
- Diploma or degree in accounting
- Experience working with loan draws and construction/development projects.
- Salary: $65,000 to $75,000
- Extended health and dental benefits
- 3 weeks\xe2\x80\x99 vacation
- Discretionary bonus and tuition reimbursement
