Project Accountant

About the Role:
As the Project Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of multiple real estate development and construction projects. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, project cost tracking, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting duties for assigned development and construction projects.
Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts to ensure alignment with financial goals.
Review and process invoices, change orders, and draw requests.
Prepare monthly financial reports, including project performance and variance analysis.
Collaborate with project managers, operations, and finance teams.
Maintain and update financial records using
Yardi
software.
Support year-end audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications:
Minimum
5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
within the
real estate development
or
construction
sectors.
Experience as a
Project Accountant
or
Property Accountant
will be considered.
Proficiency in Yardi
is required.
Strong analytical skills and understanding of project-based financial reporting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
