Programs Support Animator (PSA) - Floor Management & Programs Support



This position requires the PSA to be on-site, in person, to provide direct support to the programs team and members. The regular work schedule is Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, based on program needs.

BGC Dawson is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Programs Support Animator (PSA) to join our team. This position supports both Children and Youth Programs, with a focus on floor management, daily logistics, and providing hands-on support to staff and members. The PSA helps maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-run environment by actively supporting staff, stepping in where needed, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of programs.

Responsibilities:



Ensure the overall safety and supervision of members on-site Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for children and youth Support staff by providing materials, addressing behavioral needs, and helping manage transitions between activities Promote healthy peer relationships and assist with conflict resolution Assist with daily program logistics including managing snacks and supplies Participate in activities and outings with children and youth Lead special events, theme days, and support camp activities Open and close building spaces, manage program keys, and support general safety protocols Attend team trainings and meetings, and provide back-up support when staff are absent Accurately complete and submit all required forms (incident reports, attendance, etc.)

Qualifications:



Post-secondary studies in a related field (CRLT, ECE, Social Services, etc.) Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and/or youth Minimum age of 20 years Bilingual in English and French First Aid/CPR certification (asset or willing to obtain) Ability to pass a criminal background check Strong communication, planning, and teamwork skills

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
