Summary

Standards & Practices is seeking a highly organized, knowledgeable TV aficionado to join its Programming team. The role of the Programming Analyst is to ensure our CTV, CTV2 & Discovery Channels conditions of licence are meeting CRTC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor program schedules to ensure CTV, CTV2 and Discovery Channels are in compliance with our licence. Conditions of licence include Canadian Content, Local, and Described Video.
  • Enter compliance data in IBMS (Integrated Broadcast Management System) for new programs.
  • Prepare and distribute Quarterly reports to Bell Media Regulatory
  • Liaise with Business Affairs and Acquisitions teams to source Canadian content certification letters for Program Compliance
  • Prepare and distribute reports such as Diversity report, CMF report and CRTC annual returns
  • Other duties as assigned
Critical Qualifications
  • Experience in IBMS (Integrated Broadcast Management System) an asset
  • Must have 3-5 years experience in Regulatory, Compliance or a strong knowledge of CRTC conditions of licence.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, in television or media or a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Must be savvy with Excel and comfortable with numbers
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs, i.e. Excel and Word
  • Ability to work well under pressure, possess excellent time management skills, be a self-starter, multi-task and meet assigned deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
