About Frostbite

Role Overview

Frostbite Procedural is a dynamic and enthusiastic team developing Procedural tools and workflows. Our mission is to provide game teams with the Procedural engine features and tools needed to achieve a fantastic player experience and complete immersion. As an intern within Frostbite Montreal, you will have the chance to understand how this powerful game engine works, build new functionalities from the ground up and understand complex concepts of game development.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will help build features, testing and integrating them in game code, working with other software engineers
  • You will participate in an Agile software process including daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning
  • You will work with the dev and QA team members to resolve road-blockers and ensure completion of tasks
  • You will need to learn and follow standard software engineering processes and best practices for requirements, design, implementation and testing
Desired Candidate Profile
  • You are pursuing an education in Computer Science or related degree
  • You are proficient in C++ (C# knowledge)
  • You have knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation
  • You have experience working with IDEs and using Source/Version Control (Visual Studio, Perforce, Git)
  • You can test and debug the code of others
  • You are passionate about building games and your development craft
  • You are eager to be collaborative with teams in building our creative and design elements
  • You are energetic and motivated about overcoming challenges and solving problems
You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2024.

We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2024, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2024. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full time basis during the 16-week co-op. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
