This position is a part of the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA).
This position has a term length of one year plus a day and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Location - This role is in-person at North Campus, Edmonton.
Position Summary
The candidate will work with Prof. Martin Muller's group in the Department of Computing Science on Combinatorial Games Theory software and algorithms, in particular on the MCGS project. The candidate will contribute to academic research, training and publications in this area.
Responsibilities:

• Design of Combinatorial Games Theory (CGT) algorithms/software
• Development/implementation of CGT algorithms/software
• Testing of CGT algorithms/software
• Documentation of developed software
• Publishing novel work on Combinatorial Games
• Informal Leadership of students, staff, and researchers in usage of developed software

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a Master's preferred
• Demonstrated skills with low level programming languages such as C++.
• Knowledge of Combinatorial Games Theory.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to strategize and develop creative and efficient solutions.
• Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
