We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated

Program Support and Facilitator

to join our team.

The

Program Support and Facilitator

will provide solutions-focused employment counseling, supporting clients through job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, and job readiness. Responsibilities include managing client case files, maintaining accurate data, and meeting reporting deadlines. You will assess individual needs, identify employment barriers, and guide clients toward sustainable employment. As a collaborative member of the program team, you will also support the coordination and delivery of skills-based education and training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



Employment Counseling and Case Management

- Deliver individualized, solutions-focused employment support to clients. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify employment barriers and create action plans tailored to each client's goals. Ensure accurate and up-to-date case file documentation while meeting all reporting and service delivery timelines.

Labour Market Support -

Offer guidance on employment readiness and career development. Stay informed about BC Labour Market trends and share insights with the team.

ARMS Administration and Data Management (Back-Up) -

Conduct bi-weekly ARMS system reviews for accuracy and follow up on client documentation using internal tracking systems.

Workshop Facilitation -

Design and deliver engaging, employment-focused workshops on topics such as: Resume and Cover Letter Writing, Interview Preparation and Networking, Job Search Strategies and the Hidden Job Market, and Basic Computer Literacy

Mentorship and Client Support -

Provide one-on-one and group mentorship to help clients build confidence, set and achieve career goals, and overcome barriers to employment or education.

Program and Team Support -

Contribute to department goals through additional tasks as assigned, and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery.

Key Qualifications and Competencies



Experience as an Employment Advisor, Job Coach, or similar role. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ARMS is an asset. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Culturally competent and respectful of First Nation knowledge and traditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements



Education:

Minimum Grade 12. Post-secondary education in Career Development, Counseling, or a related field preferred. CCDP certification is an asset.

Experience:

At least 2 years in employment counseling, workshop facilitation, or case management.

Technical Skills:

Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms.

Travel:

Occasional travel to offices in Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson, and surrounding First Nation communities may be required.

Driver's License:

A valid driver's license is required.

Criminal Record Check:

A clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check, is required.

Cultural Awareness:

Knowledge of and respect for First Nations culture is essential. Individuals of Aboriginal ancestry are strongly encouraged to apply.
