Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Supervisor to oversee and manage our programs effectively together with the Director.

The Program Supervisor works closely with all employees in the organization to plan and develop age-appropriate programs to enhance the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional develop according to our program statement and philosophy, the Child Care Early Years Act, using Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT), How Does Learning Happen? Assessment for Quality Improvement (AQI) and Toronto Public Health Guidelines.

The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a background in budgeting, and experience in program management. As a Program Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all program objectives are met while providing guidance and support to team members.

Responsibilities



Assists the Director by collaborating with employees and relevant licensing bodies and community agencies to accomplish the objectives of the organization Assists the Director in the hiring, supervising, and managing performance of staff Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization in the absence of the Director. Provide leadership and direction to staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Encourages team-building by modelling open communication and positive working relationships with employees and families Provides pedagogical orientation for new hires, acts as resource to all staff Assumes other responsibilities as delegated by the Director Maintaining RECE status in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Attends Board of director's meetings. Assist with monitoring policies and procedures for effectiveness and compliance. Assists in monitoring and evaluating staff Assist the Director in creating a staffing schedule including managing staff requests for shift changes, days off, holidays, etc. ensuring sufficient staffing of the centre Maintain employee files ensuring proper documentation of hours worked and all other pertinent necessary documentation. Keep the Director informed of all issues and concerns regarding the program, staff and children Ensures supply and support staff are adequately oriented to the organization and program

Qualifications



Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Provincially recognized equivalency Minimum 3 years as a Registered Early Childhood Educator in a childcare setting Current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators in good stand Valid Standard First-Aid and Level "C" CPR Certificate Proof of a satisfactory Police Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening Child Care Management or Administration Program Certificate would be an asset. Management/supervisory experience in childcare setting is an asset. Occupational Health and Safety certification are an asset. Experience in a unionized child care setting is an asset. Demonstrated experience in program management, including planning, execution, and evaluation of programs.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
