Program Overview Streets to Home (841 Queen St E. and 1117 Gerrard St E.)
The Streets to Home Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operation of the site, including supervision of tenants, contractors, program staff, volunteers and students. This position is responsible for the daily implementation of services and supporting the Manager with achieving the program outcomes. The Supervisor also supports the Manager with creating and implementing protocols, policies and procedures, and program development.The Supportive Housing Program provides housing for vulnerable people who have been street involved, experiencing mental health and/or addictions issues. The program provides onsite psychosocial, primary care supports and services including intensive case management; harm reduction and addiction supports; therapeutic and supportive counseling; 24-hour staffing; assistance with activities of daily living; nursing services; life skills development; social and recreational activities; volunteer opportunities; and follow up support etc.What You Will Do

• Supports with implementing the operational responsibilities of programs, services, and initiatives associated with the Supportive Housing Program
• Provides daily oversight of program staff and supports with orientation of staff; participates in regular supervisory sessions with staff
• Works directly with the program participants to ensure they are meeting program expectation
• Provides support to staff regarding program issues, team building, and crises incidents through individual meetings with staff and participation in team meetings.
• Supports the effective utilization, training, and support of volunteers and students throughout the various programming activities.
• Supports the Manager with the planning and implementation of staff development.
• Supports the promotion/awareness building of the programs and their services to the immediate and broader community as well as building and maintaining internal and external partnerships and collaborative activities.
• Supports in the development of and implements program initiatives, such as food access, peer involvement, and social and recreational and life skills programming.
• Supports staff with the development and execution of Coordinated Care Plans and Case Plans for clients
• Assist with creating programs and program implementation.
• Supports in the development of common strategies to address tenancy and building issues as they arise.
• Supports WoodGreen Housing and Building Services with property management at the Supportive Housing Program
• Supports the Housing Unit with tenancy issues at the Supportive Housing site, including pest control, hoarding, arrears, inspections, notices and work orders.
• Supports the Manager with the creating and/or implementation of organizational policies and procedures being carried out within all programs areas and services as well as with the implementation of program/operational protocols.
• Supports the Manager with the implementation of data tracking systems, reporting tools for the completion of reports and prepares statistical and program reports as requested.
• Assist with the management of the foodbank and other food programs onsite.
• Ensures that the equity objectives and community development policies of the organization are followed within the programs.
• Engages in training and education to upgrade skills as directed by WoodGreen to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
• This position will include some evening and weekend shifts monthly and is subject to exposure to second-hand smoke, death, odors, pests and clients potential use of inappropriate language or swearing.
• Carries out additional duties as identified from time to time by the Manager.

What You Bring to the Team

• Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, and psychology.
• Minimum 3 years experience: implementing programs; working with homeless and vulnerably housed individuals; experience with older adults and seniors; supervising staff, preferably in a unionized environment; knowledge of RTA and occupancy agreements, and property management.
• Thorough understanding of homelessness, poverty, mental health and substance use, and a proven ability to develop effective services for individuals and communities facing these challenges.
• Ability to exercise excellent judgment, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity to changing situations and needs.
• Proven ability to implement program initiatives and build partnerships, with an understanding of program development.
