JOB OVERVIEW:
Successful candidates will be taught to execute specially designed programs to teach critical skills such as communication, daily living, and play/social skills. Sessions are conducted in a variety of settings, (our clinic, the family's home, and community settings) and are usually in a one-on-one format with some structured playdates and small group learning.
POSITION: Full or Part Time Position (start date ASAP)
Monday to Friday daytime hours.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must enjoy working with children!
Passionate, willing to learn, and the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of families.
Fluent in English, written and verbal, and excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment.
Physical agility and stamina to play, run, bend, walk, crouch, crawl and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to move with ease to and from the floor and small furniture
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Valid Alberta Driver's License, car insurance and a vehicle in good repair
Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C
Clear Police Check and Child Intervention Check
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education in a related field (social work, disability studies, psychology, ABA, etc.) either in progress or completed.
Experience with preschool and/or school aged children (experience working with children with special needs is an asset).
Knowledge of and/or experience with Contemporary Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) preferred but not required.

Compensation based on experience and educational background (starting range $21.00- $22.00/hr with performance-based increases up to $31/hr)
