PROGRAM MANAGER

About Us

Open Sky Co-operative is a vibrant farm-based community organization supporting neurodivergent adults in developing life skills, building meaningful connections, and participating in community life.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate Program Manager to lead our program team of 12 staff supporting 18 participants. This role is central to ensuring our programs are safe, engaging, person-centered, and responsive to evolving community needs.

What You'll Do

Participant Support:

Oversee intake, assessment, and onboarding; communicate with families and circles of support; advocate for participant needs with Social Development NB/NS

Program Leadership:

Design and evaluate farm and community-based programs; maintain records and reporting systems; explore opportunities for program expansion

Team Management:

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff; provide coaching and professional development; ensure alignment with organizational policies

Community Engagement:

Build partnerships with local employers, service agencies, and community groups; support employment development and social enterprises

Budget Management:

Prepare monthly billing and reports; monitor spending and resource needs

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience:

Post-secondary education in social work, psychology, disability studies, adult education, therapeutic recreation, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3-5 years working with neurodivergent adults or individuals with diverse support needs Experience in program design, delivery, and supervision Staff leadership and administration experience

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong understanding of neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and person-centered practices Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Staff management, financial, and administration experience Problem-solving skills and constructive approach to challenges Comfort working in a farm-based environment with outdoor activities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (asset)

Work Environment

35-40 hours per week Indoor office work, outdoor farm activities, and community engagement Occasional evening/weekend hours for events
