Job Summary
The vision and mission of the Centre for Community Engagement and Social Change in the Faculty of Education at Queen's University is to co-create a world--through community engaged research excellence--in which all community members can belong and flourish. We tackle the most pressing challenges in society and education (broadly conceived) by applying the principles and practices of participatory and transformative community engaged research through partnerships at local, national, and international levels.
Reporting to the Director, the Program Manager is responsible for advancing the mission of the CCESC. The candidate will provide program management related to community engaged research to advance the Center's strategic priorities. The candidate is expected to have familiarity with current approaches in community engaged research and experience working in an exciting academic context. The CCESC prioritizes social justice and the knowledges and perspectives of multiply marginalized groups.
The Program Manager will be an experienced research professional with strong skills in community-engaged qualitative, quantitative, arts-based methods and/or visual methods (e.g., digital storytelling), academic and grant writing, and research coordination. Working closely with the CCESC team, the successful candidate will oversee research systems and protocols (e.g., data storage, MOUs), support data analysis (e.g., Covidence, NVivo, SPSS), and contribute to grant development and knowledge mobilization efforts, including newsletters and multimedia content. The Program Manager will also supervise research trainees and support accessible, inclusive practices across all Centre operations.
