Five Counties Children's Centre (FCCC) has been dedicated to supporting children and youth with physical, developmental and communications needs for fifty years. In partnership with families and communities, we provide outpatient and community-based services with the aim of enriching the independence and wellness of those we serve ~ Building Abilities for Life.
We assess and treat clients from infancy to their late teens, offering a wide variety of services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, social work and therapeutic recreation. We provide treatment in schools, in the community and at our locations in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Campbellford and Minden.
FCCC is proud of the partnerships we have developed within the community. These partnerships have assisted families in our communities to access additional services that are needed to assist with their child's development.
About the Job
We are accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Program Manager for our Centre-based services in Peterborough. This position is expected to commence in February 2026.
In this position, you will manage program services for children, youth, and their families in accordance with the standards set out by the Centre. This includes managing, supervising and evaluating the performance of support and multi/interdisciplinary staff that provide program services for the geographic area.
You will serve on the Centre's Leadership and Program Management Teams as act as Discipline Manager for assigned discipline team(s) to facilitate the achievement of the Centre's strategic goals.
Key responsibilities will also include team leadership, program delivery and planning, organizational leadership, acting as a community liaison and coordinating special projects as assigned.
What You Bring:
Honours Degree at a Bachelors/Masters level in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, social work, or Registered Nurse with pediatric experience.
Licensed/registered member of a regulated health profession in current good standing with the regulatory and/or professional body.
Minimum of five years' experience in related therapy.
Five years' experience of leadership.
Demonstrated ability in supervision, communication, organizational skills and problem solving.
Committed to working within a family-centred approach.
Effective team development skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Five Counties' staff and with other professionals in the community.
Proven ability to work independently in problem solving to support staff and families.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
Sound judgment and an ability to perform well under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
High level of tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
Demonstrated ability to work in an environment that relies on technology (i.e., Microsoft Office, Alayacare).
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information pertinent to the staff, children and families served by the Centre.
Access to reliable and efficient transportation to travel regularly to various locations.
Must be available to work evenings and Saturdays, as required.
