JOB SUMMARY

Are you a seasoned Organizational Development professional looking to focus your skillset in the designing and implementation of organization-wide people programs? AGLC is embarking on a 5-year People Strategy that will see new and exciting programming to support and enhance the culture and development of AGLC. More specifically, we are looking for two Program Managers to lead the Corporate Learning & Development program and the Performance & Succession program. Both positions will be an integral member of the Organizational Culture & Development (OC&D) team in Human Resources, and will report to the Senior Manager, OC&D.

Both the Learning & Development program and the Performance & Succession programs are large bodies of work with many projects embedded within. As a design thinking expert and a seasoned organizational development practitioner, the Program Manager will use their expertise to design and implement high profile strategic projects with a corporate-wide scope that can include:

  • Curriculum design for organization-wide learning and development programs,
  • Succession planning framework,
  • Organization-wide competency framework, and
  • Employee performance.


Your duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead transformational people program development projects from concept, requirements identification, design, planning, development, and implementation to evaluation,
  • Conduct internal and external scans to identify trends and opportunities, and prepare feasibility studies and business cases to address common issues and changing needs of the organization,
  • Design curriculum to create capability to drive business strategy,
  • Conduct organizational learning needs assessments and analysis and develop strategies and associated learning programs,
  • Lead the development and stewardship of organizational effectiveness model, tools and templates, and
  • Provide strategic organization effectiveness advice to clients that advances both business objectives and a positive employee experience; including designing and implementing team effectiveness interventions.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Utilize project management methodology and tools as appropriate based on client and project needs. This includes development of project charters, plans and other deliverables; leading project teams; tracking progress; providing regular updates; and evaluating success of the project.
  • Leading project working groups/teams and ensuring leaders are equipped and empowered to own and successfully implement change.
  • Facilitate workshops, using OD methodologies and tools, tailored to employees at all levels of the organization
The following qualifications are required:
  • A University Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Adult Education, Leadership, or Human Resources is required, as is a minimum of 4 years of full scope organizational development experience in a unionized environment. This includes experience in program design, development, and delivery.
The following will be considered assets:
  • Master\'s degree.
  • Certification and applied practice in one or more of the following: facilitation, curriculum design, coaching, leadership development, succession planning, performance management.
