Position Summary Reporting to Director, Transformation, Partnerships & Medical Excellence, the Program Manager, Education, will be responsible for leading and supporting strategic initiatives that directly contribute to UHN\xe2\x80\x99s Centre for Mental Health transformation agenda. In particular, this role will advance CMH\xe2\x80\x99s education priorities including the growth and development of CMH\xe2\x80\x99s Mental Health Academy \xe2\x80\x93 an aspiring global education hub, featuring flexible, innovative and interprofessional learning strategies for best-in-class teaching and learning, focusing on the intersection of physical and mental health. Duties

  • Plan, co-design and successfully execute priorities in alignment with CMH\xe2\x80\x99s education agenda;
  • Collaborate with CMH Leadership, Michener Institute of Education at UHN, University of Toronto and other internal/external experts to support the development and implementation of continuing education and professional development curriculum/content/programming;
  • Plan and execute educational academic events, conferences, workshops and scientific meetings;
  • Work closely with the Director, CMH Leadership and UHN Foundation to develop a business plan to grow and sustain CMH\xe2\x80\x99s Mental Health Academy including: revenue generation, marketing and philanthropic endeavors that will enable long-term success;
  • Monitor financial activities of projects; review expenditure budgets; identify variances and implement remedial action, as required; propose amendments to budget, as appropriate;
  • Work with Director to resolve conflicts between support needs and available funds.
Qualifications
  • At a minimum, completion of a master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in health administration, business administration, education or recognized equivalent;
  • 3-4 years related healthcare sector experience required, ideally situated within an academic health science centre setting;
  • Program / Project management experience required, with Project Management Professional (PMP) designation being an asset;
  • Healthcare education experience required including working knowledge of curriculum/course development, conference/event execution, education technology platforms and overall business development as it relates to education programming.
  • Computer literacy required with experience working with MS Office, project management software and web-based survey tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and engage a variety of internal and external stakeholders from various disciplines;
  • Strong budget and risk management skills;
  • Demonstrated analytical ability with excellent attention to detail;
