Position Summary

We are looking for a Program Manager to join our team in Calgary, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities

Schedule Management:

  • Manage schedules as required for projects
  • Manage schedule to major milestones
  • Ensure schedule commitments and company goals are met, including customer satisfaction, safety and quality
Cost Management:
  • Manage projects budgets and cost management
Governance and Communication:
  • Establish governance system for projects, including cadence of meetings, scorecard/metrics as required, flow of information
  • Ensure upward and downward flow of information and escalate issues as required
Risk Management:
  • Manage projects in accordance with Longview Aviation Services policies for risk
Reporting:
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle
Team Management:
  • Indirect management of team members
  • Ensure motivation and clear communication of team and project priorities through regular meetings with stakeholders
  • Hold accountable team members for their commitments
  • Ensure feedback to functional management, as necessary
Indirect Accountabilities:
  • Managing a communication channel to ensure De Havilland leadership team is always current on program status
  • Support Production staff as required
  • Support De Havilland Department heads as required
General Accountabilities:
  • Follow all defined rules, policies, and procedures
  • Meet all commitments. If required, ask for a review of targets if a likelihood of missing targets is detected
  • Check your own work
  • Take the initiative to lead others to best support the company's overall targets
  • Use all resources in an efficient manner
  • Encourage and promote both professional and personal growth
  • Work with your manager, coworkers, and employees to best achieve targets
  • Strive to continually improve
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 5 + Years Program Management experience in a related field.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations in an aviation setting.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
  • Outstanding communication.
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Environment: Indoors/Office, occasional outdoors.
  • Exposures encountered: Hazardous materials, loud noise, fumes, dust, odors, gases, heat/cold, trips, slips, fall, sitting, blue screen.
  • Job hazards: Ergonomics, repetitive stressors, lighting, layout, electrical, storage
  • Essential physical requirements: stand, sit, lift, push, pull, carry, walk, stairs.
  • Physical effort: low, lifting up to 10 pounds
  • Travel requirements: Occasional
  • Work Schedule: Shift rotation including weekend and/or night shifts, on-call or overtime occasionally required
  • Emergency staff designations: First Aid, Fire Marshal
