About Us

RecLife is a recreational and life skills centre that blends fun, fitness, and structured learning. We help youth and adults with developmental needs build independence, social skills, and healthy lifestyles. Our Adult Life Skills Program (weekdays) focuses on health, recreation, and daily living skills through engaging, small-group programming.

Position

We are seeking an experienced Program Leader to facilitate and manage our Adult Life Skills Program. The ideal candidate has prior experience running structured group programs and working with adults who have developmental disabilities or related needs.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and run daily program activities (social, fitness, cooking, and life skills workshops) Supervise and engage participants (ages 18+) in small groups (3:1 or 2:1 ratio) Track attendance, progress, and communicate with families when required Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment Assist with meal prep, community outings, and recreational activities Collaborate with staff and management to continuously improve programming
Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience running programs in community, recreation, or developmental services Postsecondary education in Developmental Services, Psychology, Recreation, Social Work, or related field preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage small group ratios independently CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
Schedule & Compensation

Weekdays, 10 AM - 2 PM (part-time, 12-15 hours/week) Opportunities to pick up additional program hours (evenings/weekends)

This is an independent contractor role, not an employee position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and do not receive employment benefits.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
