NS Works CANSA is currently looking for two Program Facilitators who thrive in a supportive team environment and has a passion for helping others in their journey to reaching their fullest potential. These are contract opportunities, working 37.5 hours per week for 16 weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS - Program Facilitator should have a post-secondary education/training in a relevant discipline coupled with experience in the field and/or an acceptable combination of education, training and work experience. Qualification or comparable experience in facilitation is required.
The Program Facilitator will:
Deliver the Employability Skills & related Personal Development components;
Prepare lesson plans and conduct workshops for participants;
Lead in the delivery of essential skills training;
Coordinate intake orientation;
Maintain project files; specific to participants.
Maintain appropriate level of classroom management within his/her area of responsibility;
Maintain accurate attendance records on participants;
Assess participants' strengths and weaknesses;
Assist participants in setting long range goals and provide guidance encouragement and assistance to attain those goals;
Meet with and counsel participants on a regular basis concerning individual needs and to provide feedback on performance;
Ensure participant confidentiality is protected;
Record all incidences of inappropriate behaviour and report on patterns of behaviour;
Set up and keep participant files and running reports up-to-date;
When/If required, accompany participants to work placement interviews, complete necessary forms/contracts and provide ongoing liaison between employer and CANSA
Assist in developing good liaison & relations with businesses in the areas served by CANSA
Research and collect information on the training and job placement progress of participants;
Manage regular Case Consultation meetings and provide information on client progress;
Prepare reports as required including weekly activity reports to Operation Manager
Perform such other duties as may be required by the Operations Manager or Executive Director
Development of all personal development group sessions; consistent adaptation to participant needs/skill requirements
Providing Support to participants and employer hosts during placement
Coordinating guest speakers, presenters, activities and community outings.
Provide weekly reports to Operations Manager on program progress
Attendance reports, petty cash and assist with day to day program expense management
Act as a liaison with funders when necessary
Case counselling sessions with Operations Manager and/or Case Management team
Developing, coordinating and monitoring group facilitated projects
