Family Place Facilitator

Part-time | $18-$24/hour | Tues-Sat | South Surrey/ White Rock

Semiahmoo Family Place (SFP) is a welcoming non-profit family resource and drop-in centre serving South Surrey/White Rock for over 28 years. We provide safe, creative, and supportive spaces where children and caregivers come together to play, learn, and connect.

We are seeking a

creative, empathetic, and dynamic Family Place Facilitator

to join our team. In this role, you'll design and lead engaging play-based activities, support families with resources and connections, and help nurture a sense of belonging in our community.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for families. Facilitate creative play-based early learning, circle times, parent support programs, and family wellness activities. Support caregivers and children by offering encouragement, information, and resource & referral. Collaborate with staff and partners to deliver programs and events. Facilitate program setup, cleanup, food preparation and maintain safe, organized spaces.

Qualifications

Education in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Family Resource Programs, Creative Arts, Social Services, or related field (ECE preferred). Knowledge of local children and family resources Experience working with children (birth-12) and their caregivers. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build trusting relationships. Creative, flexible, and enthusiastic about family-centered learning. First Aid certification, Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain) and criminal record check required. Leadership skills & Team spirit Passionate about community building and strengthening families! Additional languages are an asset.
