The Role: Program Facilitator (Part Time, Float)
The Program Facilitator is responsible for designing, creating, and facilitating remarkable programming, for clients of various ages. This includes supporting and planning of assorted opportunities and activities that focus on youth engagement, promoting hope, social and emotional learning, identity, community connection, life skills and progress to self-sufficiency. This is a part time and Float role, which means the shortlisted candidate will have to cater to three different locations (Renfrew, Bowness and Penbrooke).

Monday to Friday (1.30pm to 6.00pm)
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Client Relations
Relentlessly engage clients while meeting them where they are at.
Feedback informed program development while using a client centered, strength-based, empathetic, and trauma informed approach.
Create appropriate boundaries and expectations for clients, being consistent in upholding them.
Have conversations with clients, as needed, surrounding program expectations and behavioural concerns pertaining to program
Be adaptive to the environment, group dynamic needs as they change in real time.
Handle crisis situations as they arise, document, debrief and report where needed.
Program Planning, Implementation
and Measurement.
Create and facilitate group and/or individual program plans and curriculums that focus on Core Programming Outcomes.
Engage clients and provide them with a safe and supportive environment to learn new developmental skills, interact and build community with other peers, and enhance social, emotional, and experiential learning.
Assist in the design of innovative, engaging, low barrier programs that encourage and support specific needs refer to programs to support with such as parenting, youth development, employment, or newcomer supports.
Deliver programs with a culturally aware and strength-based lens to facilitate an increase in capacity/client goals.
Be a liaison with families and/or natural supports and provide referrals and system navigation to other agencies services when appropriate and requested by program participants.
Demonstrates an ability to take initiative, drive programming forward and adapt to changing need.
Using community partnerships, establish multiple sites where programs can be delivered that are accessible to clients.
Create and conduct outreach and awareness raising presentations at schools, external committee meetings, and to community partners to advertise group youth programming offerings at Trellis.
Complete necessary documentation, clean program space, follow safety expectation as required by program.
Collect surveys, feedback, and outcome measurement tools from program participants.
Ensure program is delivering activities that align with the logic model outcomes required.
Willingness to support Trellis continuum of services.

Complete all trainings performance reviews, and manager supervisions as required by Trellis Policy.

Be open to providing and receiving the feedback in a safe and supportive way.
Commit to continuous education in the programming opportunities available to the individual position and program.
Knowledge & Skills Expectations
ECE Level I, II or III is a must.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Services or a related discipline will be an asset.
Experience working with individuals and/or families with unique needs, Equivalencies based on a combination of experience, competence and/or personal suitability
Knowledge of brief therapeutic strategies, housing first, harm reduction, crisis management, and/or Indigenous social work practices an asset.
Good understanding and able to appropriately apply behavior management skills with individuals and in group settings.
Work flexible hours according to the needs of the clients, including some evenings and weekends. (work Monday - Friday with flexibility)
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
Criminal Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Welfare Intervention Check (prior to hire considered an asset), CPR Level C, AED
Reporting Relationship:
This position directly reports to a Trellis Program Manager.
