Program Facilitator

Family Centre invites applications for temporary full-time (FTE) position in the role of Program Facilitator. The term of employment will be from the date of hire until December 31, 2026.

Family Centre is a community-based, not-for-profit organization that provides families in Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta with caring and professional family support. Family Centre offers a comprehensive range of prevention and early intervention services for children, youth, adults, parents and other family members. Family Centre's services include information and referrals, early childhood education, parent education, and family support programs. Family Centre is a Government of Alberta Family Resource Network.

Program Facilitators are responsible for providing a full range of programs including child minding, parent/child playgroups, child & youth programs, psychoeducational parenting programs, community kitchen, Indigenous programming as well as intentional parent support through information and service referrals.

Must be available to work on some evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications/Requirements:

A diploma or degree in a human services-related field (e.g., Early Childhood, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology), or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience working with children, youth and parents an asset

Working knowledge of child development, parenting strategies and family systems

Computer skills and literacy

Ability to build respectful, compassionate, and non-judgmental relationships with colleagues, program participants, and community partners, while upholding professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical conduct aligned with Family Centre's

Current First Aid Certificate (with minimum 6 months remaining)

Current Alberta Children's Services Intervention Record Check and Police Record Check incl. vulnerable sector (within 6 months)

+ The salary for this position is $40,000 per annum - plus 4% holiday pay

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Work Location: In person
