Description:
The Program Director is responsible for the overall delivery of the $168 million Provincial Diagnostic Imaging Capital Replacement Program. This includes developing the program governance documentation, multi-year work plans, and performance frameworks that align with Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services priorities. The role leads province-wide planning and coordinates cross-functional execution across all seven health corridors, Covenant Health, and Lamont facilities. The Program Director serves as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders including AHS senior leadership, Alberta Health, CPSM, Capital Management, vendors, and site operations. They are accountable for strategic engagement, communication, and change management to support clinical and operational readiness and minimize service disruptions. This position oversees the full capital project lifecycle, including business case development, procurement, implementation, and financial oversight. The Program Director is responsible for tracking performance metrics, identifying risks, ensuring compliance, and supporting transparent reporting to executive leadership. The role also ensures successful installation and integration of new diagnostic imaging equipment into clinical workflows, working in partnership with radiologists, modality leads, and site teams. A key focus is improving system resilience, access, and service quality across the province through effective capital investment and infrastructure modernization.
