Position Overview:
The Program Coordinator supports the daily operations, administration, and service delivery of the Youth Supportive Housing (YSH) program, ensuring a safe, stable, and engaging environment for youth. Working closely with the Program Manager(s), the Coordinator plays a key role in crisis response, staff coordination, youth engagement, and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. This position supports the development and implementation of program workflows, maintains accurate documentation, and oversees operational tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and health and safety processes. With a focus on trauma-informed, youth-centered practice, the Program Coordinator helps ensure that youth receive consistent, high-quality support aligned with best practices and organizational values.
This is a permanent, full-time position working Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, 37.5 hours per week. The hourly wage range is $29.00-$33.62 per hour dependent on experience and related skills. The successful candidate can expect to enter the organization no higher than the midpoint of the compensation range.
Education & Experience
Undergraduate or Master's degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, or a related field
Preference will be given to those with a master's degree and a clinical background
2+ years of management experience overseeing programs or services within the non-profit sector. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience facilitating groups and coordinating group events
Theoretical and working knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed, and Housing First principles and practices
Knowledge of current best practices and experience in public and mental health
Content expertise about youth homelessness and youth recovery
Working Conditions
Ability to work independently and as a member of a wraparound care team
Operates out of Threshold Housing locations
On-call duties required
Special Requirements
Must have a Criminal Record Review Check completed by and satisfactory to Threshold as well as sign Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement and Health & Safety Manual.
Possesses a valid Class 5 Driver's License, Clean Driver's Abstract and has a reliable vehicle
ASIST Training
First Aid Training
Able to provide up to date Immunization records, including TB testing, and Seasonal Flu shot
