Role Summary
The Program Coordinator is a key member of Centre Camp's leadership team. They are responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of all camp programming. This includes creating camp-wide schedules that fit the needs of each camper group. The Program Coordinator oversees all camp Specialists and specialty areas (sports, science, art, etc.) They ensure that each program is high-quality, inclusive, and aligned with the camp's values and goals. This role includes organizing engaging theme days, special events, and camp-wide initiatives that bring the spirit of Centre Camp to life.

Key responsibilities:
Plan and organize daily camp programs and activities including special events including theme days, special guests and field trips
Develop and maintain the daily master schedule, balancing activities on each schedule, ensuring campers can experience all their applicable programs
Create the camp calendar, including theme days and special events
Lead a team for Specialist staff, providing ongoing mentorship and performance feedback throughout the summer
Work closely with the Activities and Operations Coordinator
Supervise and support the Specialist team, ensuring they are ready and able to carry out all designated programs
Foster new ideas from staff, and use knowledge of each individual to find opportunities for new programming at camp
Develop and facilitate pre-camp training for Specialists and Counsellors
Formally evaluate Specialists upon the completion of their contracts
Provide ongoing constructive feedback to specialists
Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in program planning, or leadership in camp or childcare environment.
Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with computers and common software programs (e.g., Excel), with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to motivate and support a diverse staff team.
