Job Summary:
The Coordinator at Lifetime Networks is responsible for developing, planning, and overseeing MCN global programming for individuals served, along with managing some Community Inclusion/Outreach contracts. This role ensures that programs run smoothly, creating a positive experience for participants, families, caregivers, and staff. The Coordinator will support a cohort of 15 participants who may face challenges such as homelessness, substance abuse, and mental health issues, providing both direct and indirect support as part of a collaborative team.
As the main point of contact, the Coordinator will work closely with participants, families, staff, and community partners to ensure program success. This role includes frontline support and reports to the Program Director and/or delegate, ensuring that all program activities are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Hours and Compensation:
35-40 hours/week
Rate of pay is based off the Coordinator Compensation Grid.
Benefit eligibility after a successful 4-month probationary period
Responsibilities Include:
Maintaining documentation for program activities.
Scheduling staff shifts and approving hours in the virtual payroll system.
Participating in internal committees.
Attending monthly Coordinators meetings with the Executive Director.
Problem solving as issues and situations arise.
Participating in the recruitment and selection of program staff as needed.
Attending, facilitating, and coordinating meetings as assigned.
Assisting with volunteer opportunities, courses, or training for participants.
Representing Lifetime Networks at various networking events and meetings.
Identifying and facilitating access to activities that align with participants' goals, enhancing their confidence and support networks.
Liaising to support referrals to community services.
Fostering partnerships with housing providers and property owners.
Advocating for persons served regarding benefits and entitlements (social assistance, rental subsidies, employment supports, low-income services such as food banks and food stamps).
Responding to crises or emergencies in accordance with established policies.
Participating in staff meetings and meetings with project community partners, including police, health, and criminal justice systems.
Overseeing harm reduction training and ensuring staff and participants have access to harm reduction supplies.
Identifying risks and helping to develop and implement risk assessment plans.
Completing Direct A and Direct B support for each participant as needed.
Frontline work is part of the position.
Qualifications:
Double Vaccinated against COVID 19.
Post-secondary education in Human Services or related experience.
Experience co-ordinating programs or caseloads.
Experience supervising staff.
Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
