The Program Coordinator is responsible for the facilitation of the trainings, job search support for clients, case management, and the organization and development of curriculum. This position provides support to the manager in the operation of the program's initiatives and activities for the site. Additionally, the Coordinator provides required assistance in the financial management of program funding, in preparing the research and analysis of trends, program activities and in ensuring that the contractual obligations are met. The Coordinator promotes the YMCA programs to the community and organizations in order to market the programs to those in position to assist the Association in achieving Strategic Outcomes.


In this role, you will:




Provide support to the program staff Ensure positive, professional communication with clients on an ongoing basis, and respond promptly to all requests, queries, and concerns Resolve client concerns as they arise Track client expenditures and collect appropriate receipts and documentation to issue payments Complete various administrative duties Provide statistical and financial information needed for program planning; maintain and manage relationships with network of staff and partner supervisors Complete file audits, provide support on case management of cohorts and facilitate workshops Support with outreach and marketing program to employers, service providers and programs Track and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports to review program and client trends, needs, gaps and outcomes; research and develop program innovations and directions Effectively trouble-shoot and problem-solve issues as they arise and keeps the Manager informed Perform other duties as assigned

You bring:




Require broad post-secondary education in a professional field such as Social Services, Social Work or other related field Minimum three years of related work experience Demonstrate knowledge and experience in working with newcomers and settlement challenges for newcomers Demonstrate superior analytical skills Planning, organization, management, team building and interpersonal skills, with ability to function in a diverse environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - This position has a strong client focus and service orientation - Contacts within the community - Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders - Knowledge of community resources in the GTA area - Problem solving and creative skills - Ability to work with clients and staff with diverse backgrounds and skill levels Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity Communicate in a thorough, clear and timely manner and support information sharing and goal achievement across the Association Must possess strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and Zoom) Ability to work in an efficient manner independently, and, as part of the team Experience in planning/coordinating multi-site meetings/training Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion and equity including the ability to identify and address barriers, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design
