The College of Health Sciences brings together the combined strength of all our health sciences faculties and schools, enabling a new level of interdisciplinary health science research and teaching that advances the full spectrum of human health and wellness in individuals and communities around the world. It represents more than 770 faculty members and more than 7,200 undergraduate and graduate students.

Position




Reporting to the Director, Office of Education, the Program Coordinator provides dedicated graduate academic administrative support to the faculties and programs in the College of Health Sciences, working collaboratively with their peers and contacts in the faculties to support graduate admissions and awards.


By providing expert policy and business process support, the incumbent is seen as a knowledge and procedure expert who works proactively to resolve issues and continually improve processes.

Duties



Provides dedicated academic administrative support to College of Health Sciences Faculties and Departments in the areas of Graduate Admissions (certificate, Master's, PhD Thesis, etc.) and Student Awards. + Provides direct administrative support to the College of Health Science managed online graduate AI and Health certificate.
Coordinates designated areas of graduate academic administrative support, working collaboratively with those individuals responsible for the delivery of faculty graduate programs in the College of Health Sciences, and central service providers(including Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies). As the college enters into phase two of providing administrative support to faculties, the incumbent will be asked to participate in business process mapping meetings, and project IGUANA change champion network/Slate training. Provides expert policy and procedure support, and with navigation of Slate Admissions system.

Qualifications



Undergraduate degree; combination of education and experience will be considered. Minimum two years' experience in a related role. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to develop positive and professional working relationships with both prospective students, health science departments/faculties, and stakeholders at all organizational levels. Ability to work independently and to build and maintain professional working relationships as a trusted team member and positive representative of the College. Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to prioritize and problem solve. Strong analytical and organizational skills, including problem assessment and escalation. Strong knowledge of University policies and procedures, and academic program requirements. Knowledge and proficiency in admissions Slate system is an asset. Direct experience with providing academic administrative support to graduate programs is an asset.
