Reporting to the Manager, Academic Programs, the Program Coordinator plays an integral role within this small team by coordinating day-to-day administrative tasks required to support the functioning of Faculty\'s academic programs. This includes coordinating teaching assistants, course materials, course evaluations, and program accreditations, in addition to working closely with program directors, scheduling meetings and events, and organizing logistical details.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the recruitment and training process for teaching assistants
  • Coordinating the recruitment and training processes for Chief Presiding Officers
  • Coordinating the preparation and distribution of program and/or course material
  • Organizing, summarizing and circulating program and/or course evaluations
  • Coordinating accreditation and/or program audit processes
  • Maintaining senior staff calendars, and providing administrative support to the Manager, Academic Programs, as well as to academic program directors
  • Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years of recent experience coordinating and administering academic projects/programs, preferably in a post-secondary environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of the CUPE 3902, Unit 1 collective agreement
  • Experience providing administrative support to senior-level staff such as maintaining calendars, coordinating meetings and preparing travel plans
  • Experience coordinating the preparation and distribution of program and/or course material
  • Experience in recruitment and/or training
  • Experience in accreditation and/or program evaluation processes
  • Experience conceptualizing, organizing and executing events and/or programming
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills; Proven time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams and SharePoint Online
  • Ability to de-escalate and resolve complaints
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to empathize and understand the needs of students from a wide variety of backgrounds and orientations
