Reporting to the Program Supervisor, the Program Associate is based primarily out of the Port Perry office and plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Community Supports programs in North Durham (Scugog, Uxbridge, and Brock). This position is responsible for assisting with program coordination, client service delivery, administrative duties, and communication with clients, volunteers, and other team members.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Places and collects frozen and hot meal Meals on Wheels orders, receives frozen meals from vendor and distributes to delivery volunteers, and reconciles meal vendor invoices; Organizes and prepares route sheets to assist volunteers with delivery; May be required to deliver meals as volunteer back up Acts as a point of contact for volunteers for meal pick up, packing and delivery Provides support with site and program specific Meals on Wheels volunteer orientation and training; Addresses immediate volunteer concerns regarding clients and provides follow-up with Supervisor.; Addresses volunteer concerns with Community Hub Coordinators and Supervisor Submits orders for Personal Protective Equipment and program supplies; Manages workflow performing administrative tasks such as entering client information for billing in database, tracking frozen food inventory, and performing fridge and freezer temperature checks. Coordinates Footcare clinic when needed (sterilization, ordering supplies, providing administration support to Footcare Nurses, booking future appointments, entering Footcare visits in CCD database, and collects, reconciles and submits Footcare nurse invoices);

Qualifications required:



Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Nutrition and Food Services, Social Service Worker, Medical Office Administration, Gerontology, a related field, or a combination of education and experience 1 year of experience in customer service-related role Tech savvy with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.,) Comfortability working in a hands-on environment Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. (bona fide occupational requirement) Has a valid Ontario Drivers "G" License and access to vehicle Sensitivity to the needs of the vulnerable population with disabilities, including challenges in cognition Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check Must work in a safe manner and promote the health and safety of all staff, volunteers, clients and the community as outlined within CCD policies

Compensation:

Hourly base rate of $21.00; with an additional 5% in lieu of benefits, and 6% vacation pay

Work Location:

North Durham, ON - Main office in Port Perry with travel to Uxbridge & Brock as needed

Hours of Work:

Monday-Friday, up to 20 hours per week, with hours scheduled between 8:30am and 4:30pm
