Position Summary:
This position is designed for students in the B.A.(Education) - Major in Education in Global Contexts program. Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Student Involvement, the Training and Resource Development Intern will play a vital role in enhancing and refining educational content and resources for McGill Essentials and AskMcGill initiatives to improve student engagement and preparedness. This includes assessing existing content for relevance, clarity, and impact, and creating new complementary resources for outreach activities. By collaborating with stakeholders and curating educational resources, the intern will contribute to fostering an inclusive and impactful learning experience for students at McGill.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Content Review and Refinement

• Evaluate existing McGill Essentials and AskMcGill modules for clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
• Identify gaps and propose updates aligned with best practices.
• Implement approved changes, including updates to video and written content.

Interactive Learning Design

• Create introductions outlining learning outcomes for diverse student audiences.
• Design interactive assessments beyond simple quizzes to validate learning outcomes.

Resource Development

• Develop complementary materials for AskMcGill outreach (guides, templates, etc.).

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Gather feedback from program stakeholders and incorporate improvements.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain records of updates and improvements.
• Prepare a final report summarizing contributions and recommendations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Currently registered as a full-time student in B.A.(Education) and eligible to register for EDGC 398 Internship: Education in Global Contexts.
• Will be a returning full-time student in Fall 2026.
• Work Study qualified, preferred but not compulsory.
• Spoken French, an asset.

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 (spoken) and 3 (written) on a scale of 0-4.
