About the position:
This position performs a variety of support functions key to the success of program delivery. Duties may include receiving and directing telephone calls, visitors, clients, while providing exceptional customer service. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, and various ministry programs for data entry and report generation, agendas, minutes of meetings, letters, reports and adapting of resource materials and printing. The program assistant uses a variety of computer applications, problem solving and judgment skills to develop and maintain effective processes.

Qualifications and Competencies
:
Post-Secondary diploma in office administration or equivalent, plus vocational, or specialized training
1-2 years' experience working in an office environment
Experience with computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Experience working with ministry programs and software (i.e. iPHIS, ISCIS, OHISS) is considered an asset.
Basic knowledge of the principles of health promotion is an asset.
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a friendly, positive and professional manner.
Proven ability to work independently under minimal supervision in a fast-paced customer service environment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team setting.
Complete reception duties as required and promptly respond to inquiries from clients, employees, management, and members of the public.
A valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle access
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and can provide proof of immunization
Terms and conditions of employment in accordance with the CUPE 4700 Collective Agreement.
Starting wage range: $26.30/hr. - $32.91/hr. 70 hours in a two-week period. OMERS pension and comprehensive Health and Dental benefits package.
