Position Overview:
The Program and Impact Lead is responsible for managing selected community based programs and providing administrative support. The Program and Impact Lead will be responsible for program management, execution, and evaluation of various programs. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including staff, donors, advisory committees and community partners. The role ensures programs are effective, sustainable, and aligned with our mission. In addition, the Program and Impact Lead is key to assisting the Executive Director with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed program plans / work plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Work with program staff to manage program work plans
Assist with day-to-day program operations, ensuring goals are met efficiently
Collaborate and motivate program facilitators to assign program tasks and deliverables
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements
Conduct community outreach and build relationships with stakeholders
Program Monitoring and Evaluation:
Manage assigned programs / services
Establish metrics and dashboards to assess program effectiveness and impact
Regularly evaluate programs, identifying areas for improvement
Prepare and present comprehensive reports to leadership and stakeholders
Team Support:
Support program staff and volunteers
Assist with ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment
Provide program staff training on policies and procedures and onboarding
Administration:
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director
Design and implement new tools for program management, data collection, databases, HR processes and program evaluations
Create and present program reports
Assist with program grant applications and funder reports
Conduct research on relevant topics
Provide and distribute marketing materials
Engage in stakeholder meetings
Qualifications:
Degree, diploma or certificate Social Work, Social Services, Public Administration, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in program / project management within the nonprofit sector
Minimum 1 year administration experience
Minimum 1 year experience in the nonprofit sector
Proven ability to develop and manage budgets effectively
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in using program management software and tools
Proficient at GSuite, MS Office, Excel and Canva
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal)
Demonstrates efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
Flexible approach and positive attitude towards problem solving
Administrative skills and strong organizational skills
Critical thinking and strong independent work skills
A passion for supporting vulnerable populations and equity
Other Requirements:
Evening/weekend availability may be required on occasion
Valid driver's license and use of a reliable insured vehicle
Complete criminal records and vulnerable sector check
What we offer
: Work from home days when school are closed due to weather, paid time-off, health and dental benefits, RRSP contribution matching up to 7%, professional development budget
Hours:
32.5 paid hours/week, 4 days a week between the hours of 8:30 am - 5 pm, 1 day a week evening shift (one day a week remote, 4 days in office)
Wages : $34.00/hour
Term:
One year/possible extension
