Position Summary
The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics strives to be leaders in our communities and help shape the future. We generate, disseminate, and implement knowledge about business and economics for the betterment of the world in which we live. We use our impactful research and experiential approach to education to meet the dynamic needs of our local, national, and international stakeholders.
The incumbent works as part of a larger team and is responsible for various accountabilities related to supporting program logistics, faculty support, and event planning activities for the Lazaridis School's undergraduate programs for the Department of Business and the Department of Economics. The incumbent takes workload input from course coordinators, full-time faculty (~150), and part-time (~100) faculty and needs to balance their workload while setting and communicating clear expectations. The incumbent may "specialize" and support specific departments or areas for a limited time but is expected to be cross-trained on all department and area policies to provide support as needed.
The incumbent reports to the Manager of the Lazaridis Undergraduate Programs Office for the Lazaridis School with academic oversight by the Associate Dean of Business Undergraduate Programs and the Economics Undergraduate Programs Director.
The Lazaridis School is a multi-campus faculty, and this position has a university-wide mandate and is based at the Waterloo Campus. The incumbent provides services to all campuses where the Lazaridis School provides services, requiring regular interpersonal interactions and collaboration with departments at the Waterloo, Brantford, Milton, and Toronto Campuses. Special attention is given to ensure equitable service delivery across all locations. Occasional multi-campus travel is required.
