This position offers program administrative support to the Edmonton Valley Zoo, Muttart Conservatory, John Janzen Nature Centre, City Arts Centre & John Walter Museum. Using the knowledge and awareness of facilities and programs the incumbent of this position will be responsible for receiving and responding to reservation requests from the public; consult on customer needs and make appropriate recommendations based on interest, age group and availability of programs and venues, and in turn communicate these needs to the staff delivering the programs.

  • Answering telephone and online queries specific to programs offered, date and time availability, content and costing (for program requests related to ANHE educational programs and birthday party bookings)
  • Recommend programs most suited to clients needs
  • Maintain ongoing updates to resource and reference materials, seasonal program calendaring, venue availability, venue and program capacities
  • Maintain and updates staff availability lists
  • Payment processing of client account balances due
  • Resolving Accounts Receivable inquiries, and tracking overdue accounts
  • Refund processing for credit account balances
  • Maintaining resource and material supplies, confirmation contact with clients prior to scheduled date of delivery and issuing program resource materials to group leaders
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade
  • Two years diversified general office experience including working with the general public, tour groups, children and other program users
  • Exceptional customer service ability with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and with a variety of people
  • Time management skills with ability set priorities while dealing with a wide variety of concurrent tasks and competing deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
  • Hire is dependent upon a Criminal Record Check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: $22.361 - $27.765(Hourly) ; $46,689.77 - $57,973.32 (Annually)
